Lewis Judson Brown, of Rydal Park, PA,
formerly of North Wales, PA and husband of
Dorothy E Conley, died May 21, 2010. He was
99 years old.
He was born in Charleston, West Virginia the
son of the late Lillian and W. Judson Brown.
He was raised in Wyalusing, PA, attended
Wyalusing High School and graduated from
Penn State University before starting his
career as a research chemist. He retired
from Pennwalt Corp on May 1, 1976 after
working there for 26 years. Prior to
Pennwalt, Lewis also worked for Dairymens
League, Syracuse, NY, Crawford Bros, Walton
NY and Bradford Co. PA. School Board.
He was a member of First Presbyterian Church
of Ambler and the American Chemical Society.
He was predeceased by his wife Dorothy
(Durand) Brown and sisters Louise Dolinski
and Betty Zedar.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy E
(Conley) Brown and a sister Doris Hepner of
Elmira, NY. Also surviving are four
daughters Barbara L. Tripier (John) of
Media, PA, Linda M (Thomas) Check of
Allentown, PA, Pamela S Welsh of Troutville,
VA and Anita F Shuey (Karl) of Eldred, PA.
Surviving Stepdaughters include Faith Lyon,
Cynthia VanHorn and Debbie Lawrence. He is
also survived by six grandchildren and
eleven great grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 11am on
May 29th, 2010 at First Presbyterian Church,
4 South Ridge Ave, Ambler PA 19002.
Burial will be at Wyalusing Cemetery,
Bradford County PA.
