Edward Pedro Fortune

Edward Pedro Fortune, one of three children of the late Clarence Herder and Sylvia Fortune, went on to Glory on Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at Abington Memorial Hospital.

Edward was baptized at Antioch Baptist Church of North Hills, PA.

“Sniffles” as he was affectionately called, was born on October 3, 1960. He graduated from Upper Moreland High School. Edward was employed by SPS Technologies of Jenkintown, PA, for thirty-two years.

Edward’s greatest love was his daughters and grandson. Ed loved to landscape, bowl, play basketball and softball.

Edward leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Cynthia, two daughters Nicole and Tiffany, three brothers Purvis, Clarence and Michael; two sisters-in-law, Catherine and Erin; one brother-in-law Vernon, grandson Shamir, nephews, Vinnie, CJ, Aaron and Tyler, niece Alexis and devoted friend, Cecilia Morrison, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Family and friends are invited to Edward’s Home Going Celebration: Viewing 9-10 a.m. on Friday, April 16, 2010 followed by Edward’s Home Going Celebration at 10:00 a.m. at Antioch Baptist Church, Logan and Chestnut Streets, North Hills, PA. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Edward’s memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association, Philadelphia PA Office, 150 Monument Road, Suite 100, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004
