Lillie
M. Ludman of Lansdale, formerly of Broad
Axe, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday
evening January 4, 2010. Lillie was 73
years old, born in Philadelphia on June 5,
1937 of the late Edward and Lillie R.
(Graham) Ludman. Lillie was graduated from
Ambler High School. She also was graduated
from Beaver College (Now Arcadia
University), where she, for over 50 years,
edited her class's column for the alumni
news letter.
A retired fifth grade teacher in the
Quakertown School District, Lillie was also
a long time active member of the First
Presbyterian Church of Ambler. She recently
retired from her position as the Literacy
Coordinator for the Ambler YMCA where she
served for 16 years. She belonged to the
Conshohocken Business and Professional
Women's Club, and served as a committee
woman for the Whitpain Township Republican
Party.
Lillie enjoyed reading, gardening, and
photography. She also enjoyed spending time
with her many friends.
Lillie is survived by two sisters, Carol J.,
wife of David M Heath and Patricia A, wife
of Joseph S. Chinnici. She is also survived
by two nieces, four nephews, and seventeen
great nieces, and nephews.
Services will be held at 11am on Monday,
January 10, 2011 at The First Presbyterian
Church of Ambler, 4 South Ridge Ave, Ambler
PA. Friends may call after 10AM at the
church. Internment will follow at George
Washington Memorial Park.
