Our loving mother Adele Ernst Veihl, 91 of Spring House, formally Horsham, passed away on Friday, June 30th in Lansdale.
She was born in Philadelphia to the late Emil and Hedwig Ernst. She was married to the love of her life, Richard C. Veihl for 59 years before he passed away in 2011.
Adele is survived by her two children, Beverly V. ( Edward) Borkowski, and Rick (Gretchen) Veihl. Five grandchildren, Kristina(John) Gentile, Richie(Leanne) Veihl, Jacquelyn(Tony) Kiriposki, Kimberly(Derek) Veihl, & Allison Veihl. Five great-grandsons Tyler & Dylan Gentile, Richard Caleb & Daxton Veihl, & Landon Kiriposki. She will sadly miss the birth of four more great grandchildren due this fall.
Adele was know as the energizer bunny. She resided at Springhouse Estates where she could be found with a smile on her face while working the front desk, delivering mail in Willowbrook Court, cleaning and selling jewelry, taking care of her beautiful gardens and orchids, and helping anyone in need. She was involved in every aspect of life at Springhouse. Adele lived by the motto, treat people the way you want to be treated.
A funeral service honoring the life of Adele will be held on Saturday July 8, 2023 at Upper Dublin Lutheran Church located at 411 Susquehanna Road, Ambler, PA 19002 at 11:00 a.m. A viewing will be held in the church from 9:00 a.m to 10:45 a.m. Interment will follow at Whitemarsh Memorial Park where she will be laid to rest with her late husband.
