Ann P. Miller

September 6, 1958 — August 26, 2022

Ann P. Miller, of Trappe, passed away peacefully yet much too soon, surrounded by family on the evening of Friday, August 26, 2022 at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital at the age of 63.

Ann was born in Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania on September 6, 1958 to the late Joseph and Martha (née Gross) Palaskey. She is a proud graduate of Hatboro-Horsham High School and immediately preceding her tenure there, she went on to attend and graduate with honors from Moravian University. She later went on to earn her master’s degree in education, proving to herself and everyone around her that she could do anything she put her mind to.

As a teen, Ann worked as a lifeguard at beautiful Lake Hauto, located in Nesquehoning, PA. She then became a teacher with the Montgomery County Intermediate Unit upon graduation. Ann landed her first teaching job in Upper Dublin School District, and finally ended up in North Penn School District as a 6th grade teacher. Her career fulfilled a lifelong dream of being an educator. She was so passionate about the spread of knowledge to our youth. Ann understood more than anyone how important it is for our rising generations to be prepared and equipped with the necessary skills to tackle the challenges they would undoubtedly encounter. Ann retired in 2017 after having dedicated more than 34 outstanding and remarkable years of her life to education. While at Sandy Run Middle School, in the Upper Dublin School District, she also coached track and field, as well as 8th grade field hockey.

Ann also dutifully served as an elder at her church, the First Presbyterian Church of Phoenixville. She sang as a member of the choir at Supplee Presbyterian Church in her younger years and was also a board member at Lake Hauto throughout her adult life.

Ann is survived by her brother, Doug (Carolann) Palaskey; her sister, Joan E. Toth; her 4 nephews, Ryan Toth, Carter Toth, Dallas Toth & Kyle Palaskey. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Joseph and Martha Palaskey.

Ann's family is also appreciative of Jennifer Johnson's friendship with her over the years.

Ann will be sorely missed by all her friends and family. She touched so many lives during her time on earth. The world is a better place because of her presence in it and the love she spread. May she forever rest in peace.
