Ann Derbyshire Williams, 92, of Lansdale, PA, and formerly of Ambler, PA passed away on July 29, 2026 at St. Mary Center.
Ann was born on June 29, 1934 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Agnew and Blanche (née Wetherill) Derbyshire.
She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Beegoo (Rohit); daughter-in-law, Carolyn Core (Yo); four grandchildren, Robert,
Nicole, Sara (Jordan) and Molly (Sean); five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David H. Williams in 2022, and her son, David H. Williams, Jr. in 1999.
Family played a significant role throughout her life. She grew up in Germantown, PA with her older brother, Agnew, older sister, Jane, and parents, enjoying church activities and Sunday School picnics, and spending summers down the shore. She had many formative memories with her cousins.
She started her family during her first marriage, becoming a mother to Patricia. She later married David, together raising their son David Jr. She was very involved in her children’s lives and activities. Her family continued to grow as she became a proud grandmother.
Ann and her husband were members of the Central Schwenkfelder Church.
She was passionate about her job as a paralegal, working into her 70s. Always well informed, she left everyone impressed with her keen knowledge, curiosity and detailed memory as the family historian.
Having faced a number of trials and tribulations throughout her life, she persevered forming strong bonds with loved ones and creating core memories like hosting holidays and birthdays over the years.
A memorial service celebrating Ann’s life will be held on Tuesday, August 4, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Shaeff-Myers Funeral Home located at 145 Tennis Ave, Ambler, PA 19002. A visitation will be held beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home until the time of the service. Interment will follow at Green Lawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the American Heart Association.
