Ardis Ethel Armstrong

Ardis Ethel (Nee Bunner) Armstrong of Gwynedd Estates passed away on August 30, 2016 at Abington Memorial Hospital. She was born on March 15, 1922 in Garards Fort, PA daughter of the late Howard and Minnie (Nee Linton) Bunner. She attended Carmichaels High School in Carmichaels, PA and was employed as a tax accountant having worked for both H&R Block until her retirement in 1984. She also served in the Signal Corp as a communicator during WWII. She was married to the late William J Armstrong, Sr. for 55 years and is survived by a daughter Karen (Gregory) Kinsch of Coatsville, PA and William J (Rita) Armstrong, Jr. of Bridgeport, WV, and siblings who preceded her in death Celeste Bunner Roberts, Harold Bunner, Vernon Bunner and Floris Bunner. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 1 step grandchild and 15 great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Friday September 2, 2016 at 11am at Shaeff-Myers Funeral Home, 145 Tennis Ave, Ambler PA, 19002. Family and friends are welcome to call after 10:30 at the funeral home before the service officiated by Robert Strauss begins at 11am. Interment will be held on Wednesday September 7, 2016 at 1PM at Garards Fort Cemetery in Garards Fort, PA.
