Dolores M. Hallman

Friends and family grieve the loss of their beloved, Dolores M. Hallman, of Chalfont, PA, on Wednesday, July 16, 2025. Suffering from Alzheimer’s insidious grip, she passed away, peacefully at home, holding her children’s hands. She had recently celebrated her 92nd birthday with family.

Dolores Louise Mauger sprang into the world in Pottstown, PA, on July 2, 1933. Born to the delight of parents Alfred Mauger and Louise Dennish Mauger, Dolores and her older brother, Robert grew up and flourished in Pottstown.

Dolores graduated from Pottstown High School in 1950, In Pottstown, she met her lifelong sweetheart and husband George Brooke Hallman. They married in 1954 and her life changed forever. Dolores and Brooke welcomed their baby girl, Stacy, to the world in the fall of 1955. Their son, George Brooke II followed in 1957.

Dolores, cared for, nurtured, and supported her family as her husband went on to become CEO of a large steel corporation and their two children excelled, first at Plymouth Meeting Friends School, then Germantown Academy, followed by Bloomsburg University and American University respectively.

Dolores transported the family first from Pottstown to Fort Dix to North Wales to Fort Washington as the family grew and thrived. She and her husband later relocated to their home at Talamore in Ambler as the children went on to long and distinguished teaching careers.

Dolores was a member of the Church of the Messiah in Lower Gwynedd, PA. She was a beloved wife, mother and friend. Additionally, she was an accomplished cook as well as an avid golfer, bird watcher and dog lover.

Dolores lost her husband Brooke in 2024 after 69 years of marriage. Her children Stacy and Brooke along with their spouses survive her passing.

The family wish to extend a sincere thanks to First Light of Bux Mont and Jefferson Health Bayada Hospice for their wonderful care of Dolores as well as the kindness and support extended to her family.

Additionally, they gratefully thank the Shaeff-Myers Funeral Home of Ambler, PA who facilitated arrangements for Dolores and the Hallman Family.
