Gary C. Phillips

Gary C. Phillips, a 48-year resident of Roslyn, passed away suddenly on November 30, 2024 at Abington Hospital. He was 72 years old.

Born in Philadelphia, PA on May 27, 1952 to the late Fred and Rose (née Santo) Phillips. He was a graduate of William Tennent High School and went on to work for over 25 years as a deliveryman for UPS. After retiring from UPS, he began a second career working for Wawa for more than seven years until he could no longer due to health reasons. 

He enjoyed watching sports and old movies, going to the driving range with his boys, and taking care of his car. He also loved working at Wawa, as his father managed a gas station when he was growing up. Above all else, he adored and loved spending time with his grandson.

Gary is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Donna (née Chatburn) Phillips; 3 sons, Stephen (Kathleen), Paul, and Tom (Christina); his grandson, James; as well as a sister, Linda (Dennis) Mullin. 

A memorial service honoring Gary’s life will be held on Friday, December 6, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Shaeff-Myers Funeral Home located at 145 Tennis Ave, Ambler, PA 19002. Family and friends may call beginning at 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be private at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Gary’s name may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
