John W. Farr, Jr.

John Whelen Farr, Jr., 97, of Lansdale, PA passed away on Sunday May 31, 2026.

John was born on January 5, 1929 in Philadelphia, PA to the late John W. Farr, Sr. and Amelia (Nichols) Farr.

John served honorably in the United States Navy and later served in the Army National Guard.

John was an entrepreneur dealing with investments and real estate.

He was a member of Upper Dublin Lutheran Church and the Pennsylvania Sons of the American Revolution.

John was also a long-time member of the First City Troop of the National Guard Calvary and served as the past president of the Philadelphia Securities Association.

John is survived by his beloved wife, Nancy (Schug) Farr; three children, Ann Fenningham (Frank), John W. Farr III (Michele), and Jeanne Farr; five grandchildren, John, Tom, Matthew, Evan, and Emily; four great-grandchildren, Weston, Louis, Lottie, and Camille; and his loving sister, Ann Farr Marchioni (Warren).

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Virginia Farr Corsi.

A memorial service will be held on Monday June 8, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. in the Auditorium at Meadowood, 3205 Skippack Pike, Lansdale, PA 19446.

Interment will be held privately in Rose Hill Cemetery.
