John Michael Roth

John Michael Roth of Dresher PA passed away peacefully on April 14, 2017 surrounded by his family. John was 76 years young. Always warm and welcoming to all who met him, John spent most of his time in his beloved Ocean City home, sitting on his deck, laughing and sharing jokes and stories with friends and family. Referred to affectionately as Skipper, John was an avid boater and fisherman. John was also a gifted and skilled craftsman who could fix anything. John's career was spent owning and operating a new car dealership and other small businesses together with his brother, George. Despite health challenges, John always had an optimistic, happy and positive outlook on life, often responding with "never had a bad day!" An endearing, humble and loving person, John enhanced the lives of every person he met. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. John is survived by his loving daughters, Pam DiPietro and her husband Scott and Laura Nawrocki; his grandchildren Andrew (Emily), Jacqui and Megan, Samantha and Emily. He is also survived by his brother, George and his wife, Helen and his nephews George (Gail) and Greg (Meg). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at 11 am at Sanctuary United Methodist Church, 1346 E Prospect Ave, North Wales, PA 19454. Family will receive guests beginning at 10 am. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Fox Chase Cancer Center, Office of Institutional Development, 333 Cottman Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19111.
