June Worthington Redstreake, 92, passed away peacefully on December 26, 2024 at Fort Washington Estates where she had resided for the past ten years.
Born in Philadelphia, PA on April 28, 1932 to loving parents, Clifford and Emma (née Jansen) Worthington. June grew up in Ardsley, PA along with her wonderful sisters, Barbara and Mary Lou. Together they were known as ‘The Worthington Sisters’ for their singing talents and love of music at their beloved church, St. Peter’s in Glenside. June graduated from Abington High School in 1950 along with her future husband, Bill, whom she was married to for 50 years.
June was a homemaker who enjoyed raising her three beloved children, Ed, Anne and Tommy. She was a loving mother who enjoyed her time with her family, most often on the beaches of Ocean City NJ. Many memories were shared in OCNJ with her parents, children and eventually her three grandchildren.
She will always be remembered for her beautiful smile and kind heart.
She is survived by two sons, Ed (Eileen) Redstreake and Tom (Kristy) Redstreake; three grandchildren, Sawyer French, Nicholas Redstreake, and McKayla Redstreake; one great-grandchild, Kellan Redstreake; one sister, Barbara McKinney; and son-in-law, Scott French.
She was preceded in death by her husband, the late William Redstreake; daughter, Anne French; and a sister, Mary Lou Grygrel.
A service will be held at St. Peter’s Church on Saturday January 11, 2025 at 11:00am.
