Martha Bradley

Martha Bradley passed into eternal rest on February 28, 2026 at the age of 83. Martie was raised in Wissahickon Hills in the Roxborough section of Philadelphia and graduated from Roxborough High School. She moved to Lafayette Hill and took care of her parents until their passing. She returned to Roxborough and became an active member of Leverington Presbyterian Church where her favorite job was working with the children. Martie was an avid and talented crafter, as well as an accomplished seamstress. She shared her talents with all who knew her. In spite of facing many health and financial challenges over the years, Martie remained a generous friend with a great sense of humor and an infectious laugh. Anyone who knew her could expect a shower of sparkles from the many greeting cards she sent. She got a kick out of the cartoon character Maxine as well as the Peanuts gang, with a special affection for Lucy. There was always a cat in Martie’s life, starting at home with Jimmy and Jennifer, followed by Little Molly in her first apartment, then Sabrina. Later she took in a friend’s cat, Bella, and rescued a stray she named Gracie. Martie loved the shore, gin and tonic, white wine and a good meal out with friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Eleanore, her beloved aunt Betty Bradley, and her friends Joyce Dence, Margie Miller, Margy Tees and Connie Lundahl. 

Services are on April 11 at noon at Leverington Church 6301 Ridge Avenue Philadelphia PA 19128. In lieu of flowers, donations in Martie’s memory may be made to the church.
