Mary Jo Kelly

Mary Jo Kelly (Nee Duffy) passed away peacefully on August 18, 2017 after an extended illness. She celebrated her 87th birthday on March 19. She joined her husband John J. Kelly Sr. who entered into heaven on November 16, 1978. Mary Jo was a 1947 graduate of Little Flower High School in Philadelphia. She worked as a Bell Telephone operator in Chestnut Hill, Pa. She was a talented and creative florist. She worked with her daughter Mary Jo for a number of years at Mary Jo's floral shop "Bloomers" in Worcester. Mary Jo was the oldest of six children and is survived by three beloved and loving sisters, Nancy, Eleanor and Babs (Kathleen). Her two brothers Michael and Jimmy pre deceased her. She is also survived by two loving sisters in law Grace Kelly Kehoe and Barbara Kelly. Mary Jo was a longtime resident of Ambler Pa. She was a master at crossword puzzles and cryptograms! She was a lover of all animals especially her handsome black and white cat "Danny Boy".  She is survived by her three dedicated and loving children, daughter Nancy Kelly Baker (husband Dave ) , son John Kelly Jr. (wife Cindy), and daughter Mary Jo Giagnacova. Also survived by cherished grandchildren, Jennifer Kelly Wall , Lynn Kelly Prestia, Kara Giagnacova Costello and Michael Giagnacova Jr and Kevin, Rachel and David Sexton. She was great grand mom (Gigi) to three great grandchildren, Drew Wall, Charlotte Wall, Lucy Prestia. Services will be held on Friday, August 25. Family will greet visitors from 10 am to 11 am at St. Anthony's Church , 259 Forest Avenue , Ambler, Pa . Mass will follow at 11am. Burial immediately after mass at St. Anthony's cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to your local SPCA would be greatly appreciated.
