Richard Warren King of Lansdale, PA passed on December 29, 2016 at Spring Meadows of Lansdale at the age of 92. He was son of the late Frank and Dorothy (Nee Betz) King and was husband to Nancy Naylor King for 54 years. He was born in Ambler, attended Ambler High School and was employed as a Tool Crib Supervisor by Standard Press Steel in Jenkintown for 36 years before his retirement on January 30, 1987. Richard served in the US Army during World War II as a Morse Code Radio Operator in the 274 th Field Artillery Battalion. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Ambler. He is survived by his children Terry (Garry) Meyer of New Britain, PA, Joanne (Jose) Morgado of Port St. Lucie, FL and Thomas King of Ft Pierce, FL. He was predeceased by his son Richard W King, Jr. He is also survived by siblings; Walter King of Ambler, Gerald King of Hatfield, Betty Manuel of Ft Washington, Elaine Benner of Hatfield, Marilyn Rubinkam of Orwigsburg and Patricia Antell of Lansdale. He was predeceased by his brothers Frank, Charles, Harold, Edgar, Alfred, Robert and a sister Dorothy Fleck. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday January 3rd at 11AM at the Wayside Chapel at Whitemarsh Memorial Park, 1169 Limekiln Pike, Ambler PA 19002. Friends and family may call after 10:30am. Memorials may be sent to The First Presbyterian Church of Ambler, 4 S Ridge Ave, Ambler PA 19002 .
