Shirley L. Smith was a wonderful daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend. She loved her family with her whole heart and soul, and her life was a beautiful testament to that love.
Shirley lived a full and meaningful life, achieving much along the way. One of her greatest passions was sewing, and her talent as a seamstress became one of her most admired qualities. From casual clothing to prom dresses, wedding gowns, and elegant ball attire, Shirley crafted garments that brought joy and confidence to many in her community. People from all around the neighborhood sought her out to create something special for their most important occasions.
Above all, Shirley was a devoted mother and grandmother. She adored the family she built and always wanted the very best for each of them. She instilled in her children and grandchildren values of wisdom, kindness, love, and respect. Her legacy is carried on through the lives she touched and the family she so deeply cherished.
Shirley lived a complete and fulfilling life—one filled with love, purpose, and pride. She made her entire family proud, and her memory will continue to inspire generations to come.
Lovingly remembered and honored by her children: Peggy A. Smith White Grover E. Smith Jr. George H. Rich Sr.
Also survived by 12 grandchildren, along with many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
The family wishes to extend a deep appreciation to Courtney Valentine for her dedicated care of Shirley and for all she did for the family.
