Thomas Holmes

Thomas Holmes of Brigantine NJ, formerly of Philadelphia PA passed on June 12, 2016 at his home at the age of 79. He was born in Philadelphia on October 17, 1936 son of the late Alonzo Holmes and Late Anna (nee Anderson) Holmes. He was a 1954 graduate of Bartram High School and was employed by the Philadelphia Police Department for 28 years (1967 thru 1995). He was a member of the US Army and Community Presbyterian Church, Brigantine NJ. Thomas is survived by his wife of 54 years Margaret Jane (Nee Bromley), his sons Thomas Andrew (Helen) of Philadelphia, Scott Douglas of Dayton, OH and Joseph Matthew (Tracey) of Oreland, PA, and Six grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his brothers William (Charlene) of Philadelphia, PA, Robert of Havertown, PA and James of Levittown, PA. Pre-deceased by Sister Patricia Wolfson. A memorial service will be at St Paul's Lutheran Church, 5918 N Fifth St, Philadelphia PA 19120 on Saturday June 18, 2016 at 1pm. Friends may call after 12 noon.
