Tracy Baxter

June 3, 1922 — April 14, 2017

Tracy Baxter was born June 3, 1922 at home in Avoca, New York and died April 14, 2017 at Brittany Pointe Estates. He graduated from Naples Central High School in 1940 and attended Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, N.Y. Tracy was in the Army Air Force. He married Betty Baysor in 1943. They were married for 64 years. Lockport Cotton Batting and FMC Corporation employed him from 1955 to his retirement in 1988. He and Betty lived in Middleport and Croton-on-Hudson, New York and the Philadelphia area. In retirement Betty and Tracy moved into Brittany Pointe Estates in Lansdale, PA. His family and many friends will remember Tracy for his sense of humor, stories and practical jokes. Tracy is survived by his brother, Allen (Marlene) of West Chester, Ohio; daughter, Margaret (Dennis) McClatchey of Loveland, Colorado; son Tracy (Francie) of Canandaigua, New York; daughter, Amy of Furlong PA; and son Joseph (Barbara) of Ambler, PA. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at Brittany Pointe Estates on April 29, at 3pm. Family and friends may call starting at 2:30 until the service begins. Memorial gifts can be sent to Jarrettown United Methodist Church 1460 Limekiln Pike, Dresher, PA 19025
