Virginia "Ginnie" R. Cragg

April 8, 1927 — June 29, 2023

Virginia (Ginnie) R. Cragg (Jones), 96, of Blue Bell passed away peacefully on June 29, 2023, at her ‘home’ at Normandy Farms in Blue Bell, PA. She was born on April 8, 1927, to Horace and Sarah (Street) Jones and lived in Lower Gwynedd, PA, attending and graduating from Ambler High School.

On April 22, 1950, she married Robert L. (Bob) Cragg, and they made their home in Oreland, PA. The family moved to Maple Glen in 1961 and remained there until 2013. Most recently, Ginnie resided at Normandy Farms Estates in Blue Bell, PA, where she enjoyed retirement living and made many friends.

Ginnie was a secretary in the Upper Dublin School District for 30 years; first at the District Office, and then at Ft. Washington Elementary School where she was secretary to the principal and served the teachers and students with love and joy. She retired in 2007.

In her earlier years, Ginnie was a faithful member of Carmel Presbyterian Church and then of Jarrettown United Methodist Church. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and greatgrandmother; a long-standing member of Old York Road Country Club; and a ‘regular’ each summer on the beaches in Ocean City, NJ, where she loved to vacation with her family. She was predeceased by her husband, Bob, in 2013; and is survived by her four children: Deborah Lutz Rodenhouser (Richard L.); Robert L., Jr. (Beverly A); Donald W.; and Virginia (Gigi) Wentzel; five grandsons: Travis R. Lutz (Mina), Justin P. Lutz (Elizabeth), Evan C. Wentzel (Heather), Jeffrey R. Cragg, and Adam M. Wentzel (Toni); and four great-grandchildren: Madison and Olivia Lutz, Oliver Wentzel, and Pierson Wentzel.

Ginnie’s true joy was her family – she loved each member dearly and will be terribly missed by all. She will long be remembered for her bright smile, sparkling personality, and loving tenacity.
