William "Trey" G. Halkett III

William “Trey” G. Halkett III passed away Thursday April 11, 2024.

Born on May 13, 1956 in Philadelphia to the late William G. Halkett II and Dorothy (née Frazier) Halkett. 

He was a graduate of Wissahickon High School where he was a member of the marching band as well as the jazz band. Trey always had a passion for music and loved playing the trumpet. He went on to attend and graduate from Temple University with a degree in Civil Engineering. 

He started his own company, Halkett Woodworking, in 1985 from the garage of his house and it has grown over the years to become his pride and joy. Trey also enjoyed traveling and driving his John Deere Tractor to mow or plow snow.

Trey was a devoted member of the First Presbyterian Church of Ambler where he served as an Elder, served on the worship committee was a member of the bell choir, and sung in the church choir. 

Trey is survived by his wife, Sara E. Halkett; sister, Melodie (David) Badger; and nieces and nephews, Christopher, Jennifer, Ryan, and Stephanie.

A funeral service will be held on Friday April 19, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Ambler located at 4 S Ridge Ave, Ambler, PA 19002. A viewing will be held in church beginning at 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment in the family plot at Chester Rural Cemetery will be held privately for the family following the funeral service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Ambler.
