William R. Worth passed away on June 10, 2021 at the age of 91.
Bill was born in Ambler on September 13, 1929 and was the only child of W. Harold Worth and Alta (Taylor) Worth. He was a graduate of Ambler High School, Pennington Preparatory School and Bucknell University in 1952 with a degree in history. He received his MBA from Temple University.
Bill worked as a sales representative for PECO for his entire career, after serving as a lieutenant in the United States Navy. He was a lifelong member of The First Presbyterian Church of Ambler and was active in several civic and township activities.
Bill is survived by his three daughters, Susan McLaughlin (Joseph) of Quakertown, Nancy W. Pine (Norm) of West Chester, and Carolyn T. Worth (Cheyenne Hannum) of East Fallowfield. Bill is also survived by his four grandchildren, Meghan McCall (Peter), Erin McLaughlin, Tyler Pine and Sarah Pine. Bill was a devoted father and grandfather. He was also a loyal friend to many and will be greatly missed by all.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 10:50 a.m. to be followed by a Masonic service and celebration of life on Thursday, June 17, 2021 at The Wayside Chapel. Interment at Whitemarsh Memorial Park will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to an SPCA of donor’s choosing.
