Elizabeth Susan McCleaster, 73, of Dresher, PA passed away Saturday, March 19th, 2022 at home with her daughter by her side.
She was born in Hazlet, New Jersey on November 11th, 1948, the daughter of the late Robert and Lola Mae (Ralph) McCleaster. She was a long-time resident of Ambler before moving to Dresher with her daughter.
She was a graduate of Raritan High School and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Physics at Fairleigh Dickinson University. She was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps where she honorably served as an administrative clerk. Following her military service, she was a police officer with the Arlington Police Department in Arlington, VA. From there she held several office positions, the last of which was an administrative assistant at LTK Engineering in Ambler.
She was a longtime member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Ambler as well as the Marine Corps League. She loved to garden and paint bird houses.
Elizabeth is survived by her daughter, Ashley McCleaster of Dresher, PA as well as her step-mother, Sandy McCleaster of Kearny, NJ.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Frank McCleaster.
Her Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, April 2nd, 2022 at 11:00 AM from Calvary United Methodist Church located at 16 E Park Ave, Ambler, PA 19002.
Friends may call on Saturday, April 2nd, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the church.
Interment will be private at a later date.
