Florence M. Myland

Florence M. Myland (née DeLucas) of Horsham passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, November 26, 2021. She was 91 years young. Born to the late Sebastian and Mary DeLucas. Formerly married to Harry T. Myland, she had eight children, 14 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren who were the light of her life. Florence will be lovingly missed by her children, Harry (Patti), Nan (Rich), Diane (John), Larry (Irene), JoAnn (Darin), and Richie. She is also survived by two dear sister; Kitty and Peggy. She has nieces, nephews, and cousins that are too numerous to count! Mom also counted among her blessings Joseph Tabone and Betty Mulligan; they were the best friends ever. Their caring and giving ways meant the world to her. Her family is forever indebted to them for helping us keep Mom in her home. Mom was independent and always did things her way. A motto that best pays homage to her is “Though she be but little, she was fierce!”

Florence was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Marie and Theresa, her brothers, Gus, Rich, Jack, and Joseph.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Quakertown Food Pantry can be made in Florence’s name.

Relatives and friends are invited to Florence’s Life Celebration on Thursday December 2, 2021 at Shaeff-Myers Funeral Home, 145 Tennis Avenue, Ambler, PA at 1:30 PM. Family and friends may call between 1:00 PM until the time of the service. Interment will be at Whitemarsh Memorial Park, 1169 Limekiln Pike, Ambler, PA.
